Master Technicians

Chris Burnett, Volkswagen Group of America, Tom Fornshell, Julian Araujo and Leonel Palacios. Hewlett is proud to announce its two newest Master Volkswagen technicians Leonel Palacios and Julian Araujo. This is not just a fluffy title tied to some years on the job. These highly skilled technicians have undergone widespread training and each have more than a decade of experience working with the Volkswagen brand. Master Volkswagen Technicians undergo extensive hands-on instructor-led training for literally hundreds of hours over a several year period. This training is supplemented with an equal amount of self-study and on-line training. This training culminates in a two day, personally tailored evaluation and training period. After those two days, they spend more time brushing up on their skills and are then required to demonstrate their ability to diagnose and repair actual vehicles in a rigorous two day testing and analysis under direct observation. Flatwater Foundation

A Decade of Soreness.  A Decade of Healing.    On June 10 th , 200+ paddlers will make the 21 mile journey from Mansfield Dam to Tom Miller Dam to support the Flatwater Foundation’s 10 th Annual Dam that Cancer Event. Flatwater Foundation is dedicated to providing those diagnosed with cancer, their families and loved ones access to mental health therapy and family support. With their network of counselors and therapists, they work to bring families coping with cancer back to calmer waters, so they can focus on navigating cancer, not the mental challenges of their diagnosis. Hewlett Volkswagen has been a proud supporter of the Flatwater Foundation and a major sponsor of Tyler’s Dam That Cancer (DTC).  Through sponsorships and donations, the Foundation has been able to provide 27,493 paid therapy sessions.  To learn more visit    https://www.flatwaterfoundation.org/
