Brett Weldon rejoins Team Hewlett

By Tom Fornshell, Service and Parts Manager

There is a lot of talk about how important family is. It is fundamental to all of us and it is very
important to me. It can either be our foundation or our undoing, a huge support structure or missing altogether… maybe all the above. Any way you have it, it influences the path we take in life. Hewlett Volkswagen is owned and run by an amazing family who teach me about generosity, respect, and caring every day. They make our store feel like home.

Brett Weldon was a Volkswagen service consultant for sixteen years; and ten years with the Hewlett Family.  Good and high performing people in any industry are often lured away to different organizations hoping to capitalize on some of that performance. Such was the case with Brett. Heck, I don’t blame them, Brett is a Rockstar of customer service. Anyone that has had the fortune of dealing with him knows that. So, after a couple years of not so pleasant public perception of the brand, Brett gave in to one of those offers to try something a little different. We did stay in touch through that long year.

Fast forward to today. The Volkswagen brand is back on the mend and headed in a great direction. We’ve got new product, there's more on the way including electric vehicles, and business is good. Since we are growing, and we could add to our staff, Samantha and I called Brett and invited him for dinner and libations. At the end of our conversation and reminiscing, we were rather pleased to hear he would rejoin Team Hewlett, our family. It felt like our son was coming home from a year-long mission trip in another country.

We know a lot of our guests missed Brett as y’all would tell us through surveys, email, and phone calls. With honor and a little excitement, I invite you to help welcome Brett back to our Hewlett Volkswagen family.

Welcome home Brett.
P.S. Brett has a new email address: BrettW@HewlettVW.com

  1. I typically never comment on Yelp or anything rating system, but I felt compelled to here. My wife and I have purchased 3 vehicles at Hewlet VW and also enjoyed Brett. What a coup for HVW!

  5. I commented on this when Brett first came back but I didn't publish it correctly. I think Brett is a great service adviser and always willing to go the extra mile. I am so glad he came back to Hewlett and I will continue to use Hewlett VW as I have since 2005.

Latest TDI News

By John Chauvin   Welcome to summer!   It’s our sincere hope that you’re enjoying this warmer weather for outdoor events, backyard fun and maybe even some well-deserved vacation time with your family.   I know in previous newsletters I’ve written about the new and exciting products Volkswagen has or will launch this year.   The all new Jetta is a huge hit as VW seemed to find the perfect match for just about everything one could ask for in terms of styling, technology, comfort, roominess and of course making The People First Warranty TWICE as long.   The all new Volkswagen Atlas and Tiguan SUV’s continue to set all time sales records and our customers (and us as well) are simply amazed by these two vehicles. I wanted to change the tune a bit and talk Pre-Owned cars, specifically - the VW TDI diesel.   As we approach the final months of Volkswagen’s TDI buybacks, the focus has now shifted to the re-sale of those TDI vehicles back into the pre-owned market.   In conti

It’s Holiday Road Tripping Time!

Are you planning a road trip for the Holidays? If you answered yes, we would like to invite you to stop by for a FREE, NO CHARGE Winter Pit Stop service. It's super easy and you can stay in your vehicle!   We will take care of you right on the Service Drive as soon as you arrive. What does the Winter Pit Stop include? ·          Checking and adjusting your vehicle’s tire pressures, ·          Inspecting tire tread wear and conditions, ·          Performing a battery health test, and   ·          Checking and topping off the oil, washer fluid, and coolant. Why is it important to perform a checkup before Winter? Tires: With the change of ambient temperatures, you can expect a change in your tire pressures.  For every 10-degree drop in temperature, the air in your tires decreases by one PSI (pound per square inch). Driving on underinflated or worn tires can be dangerous.   If the tire pressures are low this can cause premature wear that can lead to tread separation
